Transportation in Prince Rupert
Getting from Prince Rupert to the airport is like island hopping: a bus runs from a downtown hotel to the Fairview Terminal on Kaien Island where it boards for a 20-minute ferry ride to Digby Island and the Prince Rupert Airport. There’s also a fun way to navigate the mountainous terrain surrounding Kaien Island: ride ‘Totem Deluxe’-class on the ‘Skeena’ Via Rail train from Prince Rupert to Jasper National Park or hop aboard the ‘Canadian’ train traveling through the Rockies to the west coast. It’s almost impossible to miss Prince Rupert when traveling west by car on the Yellowhead Highway: keep going until the Yellowhead ends at the Pacific Ocean, park the car and explore all that Prince Rupert has to offer.
